She holds the torch. We hold the flame.
THE TORCHBEARER is carbon steel taken to heat and held there - blued, then bled into pink and gold where the fire decided to linger. No two finishes are the same because no two passes of the torch are the same. The face of Liberty sits inlaid in hand-applied copper patina, green as old harbor metal. Turn it over: the Kraken, struck in the same verdigris, watching from the back.
The prongs are ours. Tentacles, not tines.
This is not a tool that asks permission. It marks. It repairs. It tells everyone within reach exactly who you are before you've said a word.

THE NATURE OF THE PIECE
Every TORCHBEARER is one of one. The torch colors are placed by hand. The copper patina is living finish - it will deepen, darken, and shift the longer you carry it. The piece you receive is the youngest it will ever be.
THE TORCHBEARER - Thirty exist. Blacklist only. When they're gone, they're retired to The Vault.
CARE - CARBON STEEL
Carbon steel is alive. Treat it like it.
Keep it dry. Wipe it down after every round and after any contact with water, sweat, or grass.
A drop of light machine oil or mineral oil on a cloth, worked over the steel monthly, preserves the torch finish and holds back unwanted rust.
The copper patina is meant to evolve - leave it be. It will only get richer.
Do not polish, buff, or use abrasives. You'll strip the fire off it.
Store it in the capsule it came in.
Carry it. Mark with it. Let it age with you.
