Named for the sun goddess of Japanese myth - the deity from whom emperors traced their line - Amaterasu is a sunrise over Mt. Fuji rendered in metal, and retired the moment the last of thirty finds its owner.

The sacred mountain is hand-inlaid in a mix of charred stainless below and mirror-polished stainless steel for its snowcap breaking into drifting clouds set into the same. Behind it, a brass sky carries a whisper of the seigaiha wave - the ancient pattern of the sea that gives Kraken its name. And cresting the summit, the sun itself: a raised dome of burnt orange, the one warm breath of color against the cool metal.

All of it rides on a solid timascus round, no two alike - the alloy's grain flowing in ribbons of violet, gold, and blue that shift with every turn under the light. Flip it and you'll find a single word in Japanese script: KRAKEN.

This is not a marker you lose in a pocket. It's the piece you set down on the green and watch someone lean in to look at.
